Insight

Born in NYC, 1946

The more I consider why I make art, the more I realize it's about pleasure. The pleasure of solving and creating sometimes beyond myself -- beyond what I had imagined.

Moved to Puerto Rico, Age 11

I quite enjoy sketching, pencil lines on textured paper. Line delineating form – color painted on wood or canvas to follow.

Returned to NYC, Age 19

Am intrigued by the relationship between form and color: how size, shape, intensity of color affect each other within a given space; how colors and forms can be dissonant and harmonious at the same time.

Now living in Greenville, SC

I make art to achieve harmony within my artwork and within myself -- to share with others that which has been discovered.

Your new works are quite stunning! The somewhat tense intersections of the geometry in combination with the not-entirely-what-one-would-expect color combinations make them seem pretty charged up, while the expanses of white offer a good counterbalance.
